Overview for Housekeeping Positions:

Reporting to the department manager, the Housekeeper cleans and services rooms for patients and guests in a friendly and courteous manner. He/she will perform wet and dry mopping, dusting, scouring, polishing floors and vacuuming carpet, etc. Makes and cleans bed units of discharged patients. Responsible for cleanliness and servicing of assigned area. Inspects and arranges furniture and equipment in an orderly fashion and reports any needed repairs to their supervisor. Cleans and polishes bathtubs, sinks, mirrors and similar fixtures. Replenishes hand soups, paper towels, tissue and restocks supplies. Responsible for responding to emergency requests for clean ups and needs within the area of assignment.

Overview for Food/ Nutrition Service Positions:

Reporting to the department manager/ Nutrition Service Lead, the Nutrition Service Aide provides service to patients and guests while performing excellent customer service skills. He/ she will take meal orders and interact with patients. Read tray ticket to determine items to prepare and place on tray. Delivers meal trays to individual patient rooms. Cleans and sanitizes all service ware and kitchenware. Ensures that all areas are stocked with plates, trays, take-out containers, silverware, cups, etc. and are readily available. Sets up serving areas and places items such as clean eating utensils, napkins, and condiments and food selections on trays in designated locations. Maintains proper temperatures of both hot and cold foods. Records sanitation concentration levels daily. Responsible for operation of cash register and maintains accurate cash and receipts. Maintains sanitization and cleanliness in all food preparation and retail areas.

Positions Requirements:

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• Ability to work in a team environment interacting with a variety of departments.
• Bending, stooping, standing, pushing and pulling and reaching on a repetitive basis throughout the day.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs—for Housekeeping positions
• ServSafe Certification and prior food service experience preferred –for Food/Nutrition Services positions
